MIDI

Map a hardware controller to desk parameters, scenes, and sets. Maps stay in IndexedDB on this browser.

Enable

1. Click MIDI in the top bar.
2. Grant Web MIDI permission if the browser asks.
3. Connect the controller.

Supported browsers: Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop. Unsupported browsers show that limit in the maps dialog.

Learn a parameter

1. Click Learn in the top bar, or click MIDI on a slider.
2. The banner says MIDI Learn is armed. Move a control or press Escape.
3. Move a knob or fader on the controller.
4. That CC binds to the parameter.

Escape cancels learn.

Learn a scene or set

Click MIDI on a scene row or a set header. Press a note on the controller. Notes arm sets or recall scenes. Control change messages drive sliders.

Maps

Click Map to open MIDI maps.

• Enable MIDI / Disable MIDI
• Notes list
• Control change list
• Clear on a binding

Maximum: 128 bindings.

What persists

The MIDI map lives in the console-midi IndexedDB store. It is not part of a scene snapshot. Export a project if you need a portable copy of desk settings. Re-learn MIDI on a new machine.
