Scenes

Sets, arm, recall, A/B compare, and the scenes dock.

A scene is a full desk snapshot. A set is a column of scenes that share a media list. Digit keys recall scenes in the armed set.

Open Scenes in the library. On a desktop you can dock the list to the bottom with the panel icon: Dock leftDock bottom. Drag the height divider when the dock is on the bottom.

Sets

  1. Click New Scene Set (+). The new set copies the current media queue.
  2. Rename the set header.
  3. Click Arm. The header shows Armed.

Maximum: 24 sets.

Alt+19 / ⌥+19 arm set 1 to 9. Alt+[ / ⌥+[ previous set. Alt+] / ⌥+] next set.

Each set header also has MIDI learn for a note that arms that set.

Media · N lists the shared media for that set. Sync current replaces that list from the live queue. Click a media row to bind that item and arm the set.

Delete Set in the footer asks for confirm.

Save a scene

  1. Arm the set that should own the cue.
  2. Shape the desk.
  3. Type a name and click Save.

The scene stores the current prefs slice plus the media index in the set. A thumbnail is captured.

Maximum: 96 scenes across all sets.

Recall

Click a scene thumbnail or name. Or press 19 for scenes 1 to 9 in the armed set.

Scene actions: save-over, delete (confirm), rename, MIDI learn.

A/B

A and B store compare snapshots of the desk.

  • Click A or B to load that snapshot.
  • Shift+click overwrites that snapshot with the current desk.

A/B is a scratch compare. It is not a scene set.

What a scene holds

A scene holds the full ConsolePrefs slice that the desk uses: look, inspector values, media framing, effects, modulation, transport response, and the media index inside the set. It does not embed large media blobs. Those stay in the media library and in the set media list.
